When To Ask For Help

Updated: Jul 1, 2021

It is widely known that cat rescuers can become overwhelmed very quickly. Asking for help is easier said than done in most cases. If you find yourself grossly overwhelmed either by the amount of cats or the specifics of what your cats or kittens need here are some quick tips to shed the shame and get yourself back on track!

  1. Find your people! Search through social media networks and you will definitely find other feline fans in your area. Join FB groups in your area and engage with others by commenting or creating your very own post.

2. When asking for help don't apologize. Be clear and concise with your needs and how

they can be met.

3.) When asking make it clear how you have already tried to help yourself , but like most we tend to overcommit and want to constantly please, and instead dig ourselves a

hole we need help climbing out of.

There is absolutely no shame in asking for help. Especially if the lives of the cats are at stake. Please do not wait until the cat or kitten is dying. If you have the opportunity to get help sooner than later take it! We are all in this to save lives and help our community deal with the over population of cats and kittens in our area. You are not in this alone, and I want you to know that. Also please do not shame others when they ask. We are all in this together, and its much easier if the lines of communication stay open.

MUCH LOVE
